From Instagram to your wrist

Not long ago, William L. 1985 launched a social media survey to present a new model playing on the emerging trend of Baselworld 2018, "Pepsi" bezel and GMT features. The project has generated considerable community interest and this simple Photoshop editing, posted at the time on Instagram, became a prototype, unanimously approved.
Collaborative development

All the remarks collected by sharing sketches of designs, ideas of colors or finishes allowed the project to go forward and thus the presentation of two new lines: GMT and Chrono Dual Time, featuring second time zone and chronograph.
What's planned
|
Beyond the emblematic red and blue model that we all have in mind, William L. 1985 offers many variations (coke, hulk or full black). All these new products are quartz watches for affordable prices. The GMT version is equipped with a Swiss Ronda movement, the Chrono Dual Time with a Japanese Miyota caliber. And the collection is starting at 149 €.
A design everyone can agree on

A reinterpretation of the iconic traveler's watch, these new models take their inspiration from the first sports pieces of the 1950s. With this new bezel, William L. 1985 strikes while retaining its signature codes and the spirit of its first chronograph: Dauphine hands, polished and brushed case or even index style.

This GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) function, which has become one of the references in terms of horological complications, allows the brand to open up new perspectives with a more sporty format that will undoubtedly become a must-have.
GMT, quèsaco?

The principle doesn't need any new introduction. The watch use a central hand with a triangular end to indicate the reference time ("home time") when traveling, on a scale of 24 hours, arranged on a aluminum rotating bezel. All in addition to the classic display, hour / minute, for the place where we are ("travel time").
Chrono, but not only!

For the Chrono Dual Time model, this process is available on a 12-hour bezel for a simple second time zone in addition to a chronograph with two counters, 60-minute and 24-hour, at 9 and 3 o'clock.
